The Wake FC Classic program allows for 11U-19U boys and girls teams to compete in various local and regional. Classic is the top youth soccer league in North Carolina and encompasses various divisions in each age group. Teams are divided into competitive divisions ranging from 2nd Division to Premier all falling under NCYSA. Wake FC's Classic program includes the Classic Juniors teams at 10U and 12U, which consists of advanced performance younger teams playing up a year, in order to meet their developmental needs. Also, Blue and Gold teams, which are the top teams in each age group within Wake FC South and Wake FC North respectively.
Tryouts
Classic teams are formed at tryouts and are selected by Wake FC Classic directors. Players try out within their natural groups. Age groups are determined by birth year.
Seasons
Classic team seasons depend heavily on age group and division. Boys & girls 11U-14U classic teams compete in two-seasons (fall & spring). All 15U-19U teams compete in one-season NCYSA divisions that play opposite the NC High school seasons (girls club soccer: fall season, boys club soccer: spring season)
The fall season typically runs from mid-August to mid-December, while the spring season begins in mid-January and runs until mid-May. Training may extend into the off-season period.
Teams also participate in various high-level tournaments/showcases at the local, regional and national level as determined by Wake FC coaches and directors.

Travel
Classic teams compete in local/regional classic level competitions that require various amounts of travel throughout NC depending on the division's opponents. Depending on the team, tournament travel can be local or regional. Tournaments are determined under guidance of Wake FC directors & coaches.
Practices & Games
All Classic team Goalkeepers receive complimentary training during the season. Practices are held at regional field locations. For all practice locations, see our field directory.
Coaches
The Classic Coaching Staff features a variety of playing and coaching experience. Our Classic coaching staff holds various USSF, UEFA and United Soccer Coaches licenses and have combined playing experience at the youth national, collegiate and professional levels.
Coaches have been matched within teams and age groups to promote player development. Classic coaches are paid staff members who are expected to promote Wake FC's core values and continue to educate themselves in the game. All coaches are risk managed and work directly with Wake FC directors to create the best training environment possible.
